Live performance at the Drake Music Showcase 2024 at LSO St Luke as part of my Artist Residency as an Access Champion at Drake Music.

This performance showed me for the first time in my career that with the right support from the organisers I don’t have to experience chronic anxiety before a live show.

Artists were provide with breakout space, at least an hour’s soundcheck and weren’t rushed to get in, set up and play.

This showcase also inspired my application to ACE for “Embodied Songs” as it’s demonstrated that accessibility can be embedded in performance.

As part of my 2023 artist residency with Drake Music I collaborated with Deaf dancer, poet, writer and creative Sarah Adedeji.
Sarah choreographed a dance and used MiMu gloves whilst dancing to affect a song that we had co-written.
